About Us

The Mid-Island Pirates Baseball Organization that operates within the most competitive league in Western Canada called the PBL (Premier Baseball League). The PBL is constructed of 13 Programs that all roster 3 teams within each program (Bantam, Jr and Sr) and compete at the highest level of high school baseball in the Province. The goal of each PBL program is to provide an environment for high school baseball players to compete at the highest level on the field but to also help players prepare for their next chapter in life, be that post secondary school/baseball or just life its self.

The Pirates organization runs 3 teams (Bantam, Junior, Premier) which are all registered in the  highly competitive BCPBL – British Columbia Premier Baseball League. All 3 teams play an extensive schedule which includes a 48-game regular season that runs from April thru July with the provincial tournaments taking place in late July and early August, tournament within North America, Fall Ball Programming that runs early September to mid October, Indoor Winter training that runs mid November to end of February and then Spring Training which usually consist of a 7-10 day warm weather trip in early March.

The Pirates are based out of Nanaimo BC but roster players from all over the Mid-Island including Nanaimo, Duncan, Ladysmith, Lantzville, Chemainus and have a catchment area Malahat (Hwy 1) to the Nanoose Bay Overpass on Vancouver Island. Home fields are Serauxmen Stadium, Mariner Park and Robins Park all located in Nanaimo.

The Pirates are very excited and proud to have had players play at the Junior National, Semi Professional and Professional level of baseball. As well, we have also had numerous players graduate the program and go onto play post secondary baseball at the NCAA, NJCAA, NAIA and NWAC and CCBC level.

But most importantly, we pride ourselves on how close we are as a FAMILY!
